2020 Catholic Campaign for Human Development
This year on Nov. 21/22, the Catholic Church in the U.S. will hold its 50th annual collection for the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD). The U.S. Catholic Bishops created CCHD to fund economic and community development initiatives led locally by low income people. These initiatives create permanent solutions to poverty. CCHD also fund formation and evangelization efforts like the CCHD Intern Program.
Click on the link below to watch a 90 second video by Louis Jones, a former CCHD intern from our diocese. Louis was recently named a finalist for the Cardinal Bernardin New Leadership Award of the U.S. Catholic Bishops.
If you want to donate you may place your donation in a envelope marked CCHD and drop in in the collection basket at any mass. If you would like to donate online for the CCDH collection, parishioners may give securely at this link established by St. Clare Parish, O’Fallon.
All funds donated through this link will be sent to the diocesan collection.
