A Weekend of Faith and Renewal at St. Meinrad

This weekend (25 Sep 2026), 13 parishioners from St. Anthony and St. Dominic parishes traveled to St. Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology for a retreat led by Fr. Simon Herrmann and Dcn. David Freyer.

The retreat focused on the Liturgy of the Word, the Liturgy of the Eucharist, and how our participation in the sacraments—especially the Mass—prepares us to live out our faith in the world. Through a Benedictine perspective, the retreat encouraged participants to see how our life of prayer and worship sends us out to serve others and live as missionary disciples.

Our group had a wonderful weekend together. Beyond the talks and discussions, there was time for prayer, fellowship, and simply stepping away from the busyness of everyday life to focus on our relationship with God.

Everyone who attended came away feeling spiritually uplifted and renewed. We are grateful to Fr. Simon and Dcn. David for sharing their time, faith, and wisdom with us and for making this such a meaningful weekend.

We hope this retreat will continue to bear fruit in the lives of our parishioners and in the life of our parish as we seek to grow together as disciples of Christ.
